Jeremy Roach, a 5-star point guard from Leesburg, Virginia, has cut his list of possible schools to 4 per a Twitter post.

North Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky join Villanova in Roach’s final list.

Roach is a top prospect in the 2020 class, ranked #16 in the 247sports Composite Rankings. After wrapping up the 2019 recruiting effort - likely Jay Wright’s best ever - 2020 has a different look at the moment as Villanova only has one open scholarship.

The point guard attends Paul VI High School, the same school as Villanova freshmen Brandon Slater. He plays his AAU ball for Team Takeover, which has become a bit of a Villanova pipeline in recent years producing Josh Hart, Phil Booth, Brandon Slater and Justin Moore.

Roach took advantage of the new recruiting rules and took his first official visit to Duke back in October. The 6’2” guard will be on Villanova’s campus starting November 3rd, and the staff can use this opportunity to remain in a good position for their top target. Three of Villanova’s 2019 commits, Justin Moore, Bryan Antoine, and Eric Dixon, should be on campus with Roach.

Roach would be another great guard in “Guard U” and would be able to learn from Collin Gillespie and Jahvon Quinerly.

A decision is still likely far off, but Kentucky currently leads the Crystal Ball.
