Happy Wednesday Nova Nation! It’s always great to come off a victory, but being in “The Finn” last night has me extra-energized. Whatever advantage Nova had in the old Pavilion, double it. The new place really has raised the intensity level and gets you psyched for the game.
Villanova added its current win streak from last season to 12 games. The school record for streaks spanning seasons is 15, from the 1950 and ‘51 seasons. To break it, Villanova will have to win its next four games against Quinnipiac, Michigan, Furman, and Canisius. Their overall Home winning streak stands at 4, while the streak at the Pavilion is now up to 2.
For anyone that wanted more from the new arena, it’s time to let those sentiments go. It can’t be changed now and won’t be changing anytime soon. But what we did get is an amazing place to watch a college basketball game, along with a living shrine to Villanova Basketball. Even if you can’t catch a game there, you should swing by just to see the history on display in the concourse. I’ve never been more proud to be a fan of this program that just walking around and seeing it all there, laid out in front of me. Villanova is going to win A LOT of games in this place, and last night was the start of that.
