In the newest AP Poll, Duke remains the top team as the Blue Devils collected 35 of 63 first-place votes. Michigan, Tennessee, Virginia, and Kansas round out the Top 5 (each collecting votes for the top spot).

The quiet week for Villanova, without a single game for the Wildcats over the Christmas break, meant a minimal chance to move up and into the AP Top 25.

The BIG EAST is solely represented by Marquette at #16. St. John’s and Seton Hall also received votes alongside ‘Nova.

Villanova next plays on Wednesday, January 2nd, when they host DePaul to open the BIG EAST Conference part of their schedule.
