4-star point guard Courtney Ramey has cancelled his February visit to Villanova, and the Wildcats are no longer pursuing him. That’s the latest from Evan Daniels of 247Sports.
More interesting in that post is Daniels’ thoughts on Jahvon Quinerly. This will get you excited.
In terms of his (Quinerly’s) recruitment, from what I’m hearing it should come to an end in the very near future. All signs point to Villanova and I’m not sure if there are really any other schools involved at this point.
With all the buzz this week surrounding Quinerly, it’s not really a surprise that Ramey would cancel his visit. Villanova’s original plan was to bring in one high-level point guard to backfill for Jalen Brunson’s expected departure. Quinerly was Plan A from the start and despite a wild recruitment, it appears that Jay Wright and staff will get their man.
If and when Quinerly does announce for Villanova, that should be the end of the 2018 class and we can move our recruiting focus to 2019.
