In a schedule move that should surprise minimal Villanova fans, Jay Wright’s Wildcats will host the Quinnipiac Bobcats in the 2018-19 season.
Baker Dunleavy tells me that Quinnipiac is still finalizing its non-conference schedule for next year, but it will play at defending National Champion Villanova (!) early in the season#MAACHoops

Dunleavy, the former VU Hoopster and lead ‘Nova assistant, led the 2018 Quinnipiac squad to a 12-21 season in his first year at the helm.
The scheduling will allow the Bobcats to play one of the elite programs in College Basketball, give Villanova an out-of-conference early season foe, and shows Coach Wright’s allegiance to assisting his protege- even at the possibility of taking a strength of schedule hit (Quinnipiac finished 2018 with an RPI of 277 and #280 in KenPom).
