2018 NBA Combine Primer: Drills, Measurements, Dates, TV, and Live Stream

Four Villanovans will be headed to Chicago.

The 2018 NBA Combine begins on Wednesday and will go through Sunday at Quest Multisport in Chicago, IL. Four Villanovans are among the 69 invitees who will be setting their physical and skill baselines against each other in front of NBA decision makers.

During the event, Villanova’s Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, and Omari Spellman will be measured physically and participate in strength & agility drills. DiVincenzo and Spellman will most likely also participate in five-on-five scrimmages.

Measurements taken of Combine attendees include...

  • Standing Reach
  • Height without shoes
  • Wingspan

Measurements for speed and agility will be taken for the following...

  • Standing vertical leap
  • Max vertical leap
  • Shuttle Run
  • Three Quarter Sprint
  • Bench Press

The shooting drills include spot-up shooting and shooting on-the-move...

  • NBA Break Left Shooting %
  • NBA Break Right Shooting %
  • NBA Corner Left Shooting %
  • NBA Corner Right Shooting %
  • NBA Top Key Shooting %
  • On The Move Fifteen Shooting %

It is expected that Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges will only participate in the interview rounds, athletic testing, and physical measurements.

The 2018 NBA Draft will be held on June 21st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Players who have not signed with an agent will have until June 11th to withdraw their names to maintain their college eligibility next season.
