Villanova is locked and loaded for another title defense

Even as they wait for NBA decisions, the Wildcats are already preparing for another deep run in the tournament.

Happy Wednesday Nova Nation! Well it’s official, everyone wants to be a Wildcat. For the third consecutive week, Villanova has landed a big time recruit. This time it was grad transfer Joe Cremo, who will be able to play immediately as Villanova looks to defend their National Championship. Even if Donte DiVincenzo and Omari Spellman decide to stay in the NBA draft, the addition of Cremo ensures that the Wildcats will contend next season.

In the same day, Villanova brought in another member of the team that can make an instant impact next season. Or more accurately, brought back. Dwayne Anderson will return to the team he took to the Final Four as the new Director of Basketball Operations. Anderson was a key recruiter for Penn State for the last several seasons, and he’ll be a great asset for the staff. Jay Wright continues to maintain Villanova’s culture by developing his staff in house, including bringing on former players.

In other “news”, Duke is dropping in the Vegas odds, while Nova continues to rise. Enjoy!
