Villanova will kick off the AdvoCare Invitational in Orlando against Canisius on Thanksgiving Day. The bracket was just released today, and Villanova should enter as the favorites to win it all.

Villanova will play in the first game at 1:30 PM EST on Thanksgiving that will air on either ESPN or ESPN2. If they win their next game will be at 11:30 AM the next day, again on either ESPN or ESPN2. In that game they’d face either Memphis or Oklahoma State. The Wildcats will be favored against either of these opponents.
On the other side of the bracket, Florida State and LSU seem to be the most likely to reach the championship game. These would both be good early season tests for Jay Wright’s team as both will likely be ranked to start the season. FSU is coming off a run to the Elite 8 in last year’s tournament. LSU features an elite young point guard in Tremont Waters, who is complimented by a Top 5 incoming freshman class. The Championship will be at either 1:00PM or 4:00PM, November 25th, on ESPN or ESPN2.
Per a release from ESPN, Villanova will also play a home game against Furman as part of the tournament. That game will be played on Nov. 17th, prior to the games in Orlando. You can find additional information and our initial breakdown of the field here.
