Villanova Football Recruiting: Wildcats Offer Ryan Coll

Coll is expected to fit on the ‘Cats O-Line

NCAA Football: Villanova at Temple Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

The Villanova Wildcats offered offensive lineman Ryan Coll in June.

Coll is a 6’5” lineman who attends Battlefield High School in Haymarket, Virginia. The two-way star also holds offers from fellow CAA members Towson and Richmond, as well as Howard and Temple.

The rising senior finished 1st team as both a defensive end and tight end in his junior season, and earned all-region honors on the defensive side of the ball.

At Villanova, Coll is viewed as an offensive line prospect. He has the size and strength to push defenders out of the way with ease, leading to pancakes and large holes for his running backs. Playing both ways in high school gives him a strong understanding of the strategy in the trenches. On the defensive side, Coll has been a high-level defensive end, who uses his strength to get by defenders with ease and is excellent at wrapping up.

He is a more than capable pass catcher as well. He has good hands and is a strong route runner, to go along with the size to reach above and over defenders.
