Villanova Basketball 3 on 3 Summer Tournament: Round 1 Ends and Round 2 Begins!

It took a full seven days, but we’re finally into Round 2!

All month we’re squaring off the best user-submitted teams in a giant 128 team 3 on 3 tournament. Voting closes every night at midnight, so be sure to check back every day to vote for your favorite teams and see who comes away as the 2018 Summer Tournament Champion!

After six and a half days of voting (including today) we’ve finally cut the field in half. But it didn’t come without some controversy as last night’s final vote between OldnNewPros and 1985 Beast finished tied in voting. So as a tie breaker I went to the most senior Nova grad in my family, my father-in-law, to cast the deciding vote. Despite being an ‘83 grad, he surprised me by picking OldnNewPros to advance! They’re joined in the second round by The Greatest Cats, The Greatest of All Time, The Greats, I’ll Take Philly, Nova1, Own The Court, All Heart, The Point Guards, and upset pick Galaxy. Today we’ll have another ten teams advance, so let’s get right into it.
