Josh Green cuts list to 6 schools, includes Villanova

The Aussie wing should set some visits soon.

The Villanova Wildcats are still in it for 5-star Australian wing Josh Green, who announced his final 6 schools on Twitter this afternoon.

(Big shouts for using the 1985 throwback in his edit!)

Green is a 6’6” wing who attends IMG Academy (Fla.) and plays his AAU ball for West Coast Elite (UA) alongside fellow ‘Nova target Nico Mannion. Mannion recently cut his list to 4 schools as well.

Ranked #11 in the 247 Composite, Green has drawn rave reviews all Summer for his all-around game. He runs the floor extremely well and has a balanced offensive game. He has a great motor and competes on defense where he can guard multiple positions. In short, he’d be a home run for Villanova.

Villanova has been rumored to be a serious contender for Green, but they’ll be up against a who’s who of schools. North Carolina recently offered and it sounds like that’s a ‘dream school’ situation for Green.

Here’s Green on Villanova, via Rivals:

“It is just a great school. They have a great coaching staff that is very good at developing its players and helping them get to the next level. They have an extremely successful history, especially within the last few years, seeing that they have won two national titles.”

The next step in his recruitment seems to be setting visits, and Villanova will need to get him on campus if they have any shot of reeling in the Aussie.
