Jeremiah Robinson-Earl announces final 5, surprisingly includes Villanova

Happy Friday, ‘Nova Nation!

Talk about a Friday morning surprise! Top-20 forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl announced his final 5 schools, and included the reigning National Champion Villanova Wildcats on his list.

If this is the first you are hearing of Villanova and Robinson-Earl, you’re not alone. Maybe we missed something earlier, but at worst this appears to be a case of a highly touted prospect including the ‘hot’ program on his list. That’s not a bad thing at all.

Here’s Robinson-Earl on Villanova:

“One of the reasons is the past three years they’ve won two national championships so they are obviously doing something good up there. I think they like to do a lot of five out or small ball so they will use their bigger guys as a threat on the court. I watched when they played in the Final Four they were able to use their five man and make matchups and spread the floor.”

Most seem to think the 6’8” Kansas native will end up playing for the Jayhawks, but Robinson-Earl will be setting official visits soon. If Villanova can get him on campus, they should take their shot at the 5-star forward.
