Happy Monday Nova Nation! Before we get into basketball, another well deserved congratulations to the gridiron Wildcats who had yet another big win over Lehigh on Saturday. Zach Bednarczyk is putting together what could be a record setting year, so don’t miss it!
Jay Wright and his staff also had their own big win last week when Bryan Antoine committed to Villanova. But as Alec Baldwin says in the film version of Glengarry Glen Ross, “ABC: Always Be ‘Cruitin.” I may be getting that wrong, but it applies perfectly to the Wildcats as the coaching staff will be back on the road today visiting 2019 prospect Matthew Hurt.
Villanova appears to be behind Kansas and Minnesota in recruiting the 5-star power forward, but they’re reportedly scheduled for an in-home visit today and that’s nothing to scoff at. Hopefully the Wildcats can keep their recruiting success going and bring in another elite talent with the 2019 class.
In other “news”, Villanova did a great job recruiting, Villanova continues to do a great job recruiting, and Josh Hart is still recruiting LeBron James? Enjoy!

The first round of in-home visits are set for five-star forward Matthew Hurt.
2019 Top Prospect Nico Mannion Is Down To Either Arizona Or Marquette | Anonymous Eagle
The argument can be made that Mannion had this decision made for him as opposed to deciding to eliminate Villanova and Duke. Villanova just recently picked up a commitment from Bryan Antoine, the #11 player in the country. That gives Jay Wright two top 50 guards in his 2019 class, and with the possibility that Jahvon Quinerly could be around for a sophomore season, that turns VU’s attention away from guards like Mannion.
