Following an in-home visit on Monday afternoon, the Villanova Wildcats have extended a scholarship offer to 5-star forward Matthew Hurt per Jeff Goodman.
Villanova has offered skilled forward Matthew Hurt, source told @WatchStadium. Not sure Jay Wright and the Wildcats can get him, but making a run at the Minnesota native.

The good news? Hurt was apparently receptive enough to the meeting with Jay Wright and staff that they felt confident in offering him a scholarship and jumping into his recruitment late in the game. The bad news? It’s kind of late in the game.
Hurt is a 6’9” 215 lb. stretch forward from Rochester, Minn. with an incredible game that has him ranked #6 in the 247 Composite rankings. Whilte not a freak athlete, he’s been lauded for an incredible basketball IQ and a well-rounded game that makes him fit seamlessly into any team. He can score inside and out and moves very well without the ball and in the open floor.
In a nutshell, perfect for Villanova’s motion offense.
Hurt has yet to set any official visits, so we’ll see if Villanova can grab one. There’s been buzz that he’ll be tough to get out of the Midwest, but as Michael Scott once said, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
