Villanova Basketball Uniforms Ranked Top 5

Can’t go wrong with wearing throw backs during a dominant championship run.

Happy Friday Nova Nation! Some big news dropped yesterday with the release of the Big East schedule. And that’s why the main article for today focuses on how fly Nova looked last year. What can I say, I’m a master of transitions.

Sports Illustrated has ranked Villanova as having the 4th best uniforms in the country, and that’s hard to argue with. The home whites and the away blues are both solid, classic jersey styles that have come a long way from the monstrosities of the late 90’s. But the crown jewel of the Wildcat Wardrobe are the throwback ‘85 jerseys the team wore this past March.

So simple, yet so great. And of course the best part is the old school logo on the shorts. Honestly, I don’t think Villanova could come up with anything better. But we can.

That’s right Nova Nation, I’m calling on you. UNC, UCLA, and Kansas can not be allowed to claim the Top 3 for themselves! In fact, specifically I’m calling out my favorite jersey design specialist, NovaRaptor. As I say every time we talk jerseys on this site, his article on alternate jerseys is my favorite thing I’ve ever read on this site. Use it for inspiration and post your designs in the comments below. Photos are even better!

In other “news”, the Big East schedule is out, talkin’ Nova football on the radio, and Austin Calitro is making the most of his NFL shot. Enjoy!

When he was most needed, Seahawks linebacker Austin Calitro answered the call | The Seattle Times
After being signed and released by four teams last season, Villanova product Austin Calitro is making the most of his second opportunity in Seattle. That means rotating with Shaquem Griffin in place of injured linebacker K.J. Wright. Special thanks to mander22 for finding this one!
