Villanova Basketball’s Eric Paschall is already a fan favorite with the Warriors

Happy Tuesday Nova Nation! With tip-off of the new college basketball season exactly four weeks away, it’s hard not to miss such beloved players like Phil Booth and Eric Paschall. But the East coast’s loss has become the West coast’s gain as Paschall has been proving to be a fan favorite on and off the court.

Sure it’s just a little bit of rookie hazing, but Paschall goes all in and his fans and teammates eat it up. Not only that, but he held his own when guarding the likes of Anthony Davis and LeBron James in his first NBA game experience. Paschall is going to be a great piece for the Warriors this year, but he’s an even better fit with their culture.

As for Phil Booth, he too got his first game experience over the weekend. Booth still seems like a long shot to make the final roster, but his efforts are certainly helping him work towards a G-League contract.

We’ll miss those guys for sure, especially early in the season when Villanova is going through their growing pains. But I think I speak for all Villanova fans when we say we couldn’t be happier that these two are off living their dreams. Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!
