Happy Wednesday Nova Nation! Isn’t it great when you don’t have to wait a full week for a game? Villanova will take on Penn tonight at the Pavilion. This may be a very different team from last year’s squad, but that doesn’t make this any less of a revenge game. After 25 consecutive Big 5 wins, Penn was finally the team to knock out Villanova and claim the Big 5 Title. Now the Wildcats have a chance to avenge that loss and continue towards their goal of reclaiming their Big 5 dominance and win a city series record tying 27th Big 5 Championship.

On top of that Villanova needs to continue growing as a team, and Penn is a great team to test that against this season. The Quakers are by no means a “great” team, but they are capable of taking down good teams. They already have wins this season against Alabama, Providence, and UCF. They also beat La Salle by 16, where Villanova only won by 11. The Wildcats will still be huge favorites heading into tonight’s game though, and that brings us to today’s Game Day poll. KenPom.com has Villanova as 14 point favorites tonight, so our question is will the Wildcats cover that spread?
