It’s Las Vegas Summer League “regular season” finale! Here are some updates from Wednesday’s games, featuring notes on Omari Spellman (Golden State Warriors) and Eric Paschall (Golden State Warriors), as well as Phil Booth (Cleveland Cavaliers).
Each time a former Wildcat hits the court for Summer League play, we will recap how they did and include a few highlights (if available). This will also serve as a discussion board. We will try to keep it updated as soon as the games are over, so check back often!
Phil Booth
Summer league started a bit rocky for Booth, but he’s started picking it up as of late. Wednesday was no different, as he looked like his Villanova self. Booth had the hot hand from long range, coming in for 16 minutes of action. He scored 13 points and was 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also had a pair of rebounds, one assist and five personal fouls—but it takes 10 to foul out of Summer League!
Unfortunately for Cleveland, it lost 99-78 to the New Orleans Pelicans, but it was another solid individual performance off the bench for Booth.
Omari Spellman
The Warriors played in the nightcap, and Spellman wasn’t even on Golden State’s roster. They managed to beat the Denver Nuggets, 73-69.
Eric Paschall
Paschall missed the last couple of games with a tailbone injury, and he was out once again on Wednesday night.
