The NBA Las Vegas Summer League has begun! All 30 teams are in action for the next couple of weeks. First up, is ‘regular season’ play, which will then transition to a playoff format.
There are three Villanova Wildcats alumni playing in the circuit--Omari Spellman (Atlanta Hawks), and rookies Eric Paschall (Golden State Warriors) and Phil Booth (Cleveland Cavaliers).
For anyone looking for Donte DiVincenzo (Milwaukee Bucks), he was cautiously left off the Summer League roster, despite initial reports where he was expected to play now that he is healthy after dealing with a string of injuries last season.
Almost all of them were in action on Friday, with Spellman being the only one out. Spellman and the Hawks will start their Summer League journey on Saturday against the Bucks. As for the other two, here’s how they did on Friday.
----
Phil Booth
Booth logged 10 minutes of action off the bench for the Cavaliers in their 85-75 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He finished with three points (1-of-3 shooting, all three-point attempts).
