Villanova Fall Sports off to a great start

Women’s Soccer secured the first win of the 2019 Fall Sports season

Happy Friday Nova Nation! The student body may have just arrived on campus this week, but the fall sports teams have been on campus for a while. And it looks like all that extra time in the gym and in practice has already paid off.

In the first athletic competition of the 2019 Fall Sports Calendar, Villanova Women’s Soccer came away with a 1-0 win at home over #24 LSU. The lone goal came on a tremendous hustle play by sophomore forward Chloe O’Neil in the first half:

Villanova football is next up this Saturday, as they travel to Colgate for a noon kick-off to both their season and all of college football. The Wildcats will look to bounce back from a pair of injury plagued seasons and compete in a loaded CAA conference. We’ll have full coverage here at VUHoops, but you’ll also be able to watch the game on CBS Sports Network:

Also on Saturday, you can catch a preview of the Women’s Volleyball Team as they host their Blue/White scrimmage on campus. Next week the Men’s Soccer team takes the pitch to close out the month of August. Then September kicks into full gear for fall sports with Field Hockey, Golf, and Cross Country getting started.
