Villanova Basketball rises to #14 in newest AP Poll

‘Cats improve two spots following 2-0 week.

Villanova, buoyed by a 2-0 week with a road victory over Creighton and a 14-point win over rival Georgetown, has risen to #14 in the newest AP Poll released on Monday.

Gonzaga remains the top school in the country for the third consecutive week with 30 of 65 first place votes. Baylor, who defeated Villanova in Myrtle Beach, received 31 first place votes and jumped two spots to #2. Duke, Auburn, and Butler round out the Top 5.

Aside from Butler, ‘Nova (12-3, 3-1) is joined by Seton Hall at #18 and Creighton at #25 in the Poll to represent the BIG EAST.
