On Tuesday afternoon, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced its preseason watch list for the Jerry West Award, an accolade given to the top shooting guard in men’s college basketball and Villanova’s Justin Moore made the list.

The award is in its seventh and former Villanovans Josh Hart and Phil Booth were named Finalists for the award in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
As a Freshman, Moore averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists while shooting 41.8% from the floor- including 38.6% fro beyond the arc.
The BIG EAST is also represented by UConn’s James Bouknight, Creighton’s Mitch Ballock, and Xavier’s Paul Scruggs. The winner of the award will be announced on April 9th.
