Villanova up to #4 in newest AP Poll

Zags, Bears, Jayhawks remain 1-2-3

The Villanova Wildcats (8-1, 3-0) have improved to #4 in the newest AP Poll released on Monday. Jay Wright’s squad won their only game last week; an 85-68 victory over Marquette.

Gonzaga remains the nation’s #1 collecting 62 of the 64 First Place votes; Baylor, at #2, tallied the other two to stay at #2 as Kansas remains the other school ahead of ‘Nova in the poll.

BIG EAST frenemies Creighton improved to #11 as Xavier fell out of the Top 25 (the Musketeers are receiving votes though.

The Villanova program is on a mandatory hiatus due to due to positive coronavirus test results impacting Tier 1 staff members- including head coach Jay Wright.
