Villanova’s road win over the #17 Texas Longhorns, potentially the most impressive resume win for any program this season, helped the ‘Cats rise to #9 in this week’s AP Poll.

Gonzaga (3-0; 0-1 against COVID-19) tallied 54 of the 63 votes for the #1 spot as Baylor grabbed the remaining seven to be ranked second. Iowa, Michigan State, and Kansas round out the Top 5.

The Kentucky Wildcats received 0 votes after being at #20 last week.

Texas (#13), Virginia Tech (#15), and Arizona State (#23), continue to climb in the polls - a good sign for Villanova’s resume.
