The Villanova Wildcats dropped two spots to #14 in the latest AP Poll after going 1-1 last week with a win over St. John’s and a loss to Providence, both at home. Despite the loss, Villanova remains in good position to receive a high seed in the NCAA Tournament. They even still will have opportunities to improve their position, starting this week when they travel to Seton Hall.
The Pirates are currently the highest ranked team in the Big East, coming in at #8. Creighton fell to #11, while Butler, Providence, and Marquette are all receiving votes.
