The Villanova Wildcats landed their second commitment in the 2021 recruiting class when 4-star wing Trey Patterson announced his intention to play for Jay Wright on The Front Office YouTube channel.

Patterson is a 6’8” wing who attends Rutgers Prep (N.J.) and plays for Team Rio on the Under Armour AAU circuit - the same program that Bryan Antoine hails from. Patterson is ranked #35 in the 247Sports Composite rankings and has been considered among the elite players in his class for several years.

Patterson has been a priority recruit for the Wildcats for some time, and chose the Main Line over offers from Florida and Indiana among many others.

Patterson looks like the prototypical Villanova player with the ability to play both inside and outside and possesses a frame that looks ready to explode with a college S&C program at his disposal. While he’s still developing his handle, he’s a solid shooter already and isn’t shy about mixing it up on the interior. He looks like he will be an early contributor once he arrives on campus.

Patterson joins 4-star forward Nnanna Njoku in Villanova’s 2021 class. Welcome to ‘Nova Nation, Trey!
