Class of 2021 guard Trevor Keels, a 6’5”, 210lb, blue-chipper from Fairfax, VA (Paul VI Catholic), narrowed his top three schools on Wednesday. Villanova has made the trio alongside Duke and Virginia.
Keels is currently ranked as the top shooting guard in the Class of 2021 and the #15 player nationally according to ESPN and 247Sports.
A recent evaluation by 247’s Jerry Meyer notes the following about Keels:
“Tremendous physical strength for a shooting guard. Has length as well. Plays a power game but can score from all three levels. Solid ball-handler. Good passer. Has the strength to be a better rebounder. Adequate defender.”
Keels has made no timeframe for an announcement of his commitment.
An addition of Keels would bolster Jay Wright’s 2021 Recruiting Class which is already ranked second in the nation. Trey Patterson, Jordan Longino, Angelo Brizzi, and Nnanna Njoku have already verbaled to Coach Wright to play for ‘Nova.
