It’s a tale that’s been retold many times before, but like other classics in Villanova Basketball lore like the 1985 Cinderella ‘Cats upsetting the big bad Georgetown Hoyas or Kris Jenkins’ 2016 buzzer-beating heroics, it’s intriguing every single time.

On a holiday dedicated to Martin Luther King Jr., it’s only fitting to revisit that time when former Villanova basketball player and 1960 graduate George Raveling was a last-minute security guard hire and was next to Dr. King, as he gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

Afterwards, Raveling asked him for the speech, and he actually obtained the original copy. Here’s more on that...
