Villanova remains in Top 10 in newest AP Poll

‘Cats check in at #10

Villanova (15-4, 10-3) dropped to #10 in the newest AP Poll released on Monday. The Wildcats went 1-1 last week with a victory over St. John’s and a road loss at Butler on Sunday.

Gonzaga remains the nation’s #1 collecting 59 of the 64 First Place votes while the country sees Michigan as the newest #2. Baylor- who suffered their first loss of the season at Kansas- dropped to #3 as Illinois and Iowa round out the Top 5.

West Virginia, Ohio State, Alabama, and Houston are also ranked ahead of ‘Nova.

BIG EAST frenemies Creighton dropped a spot to #14 and is the only other team from the conference ranked. UConn is the only team from the conference receiving votes.

Oklahoma State, Colorado, and Purdue joined the AP Top 25 this week as Tennessee, Missouri, and USC dropped out.

Villanova next returns to action on Wednesday when they host the Creighton Bluejays.
