When the field for the 2021 Hall of Fame Tip-Off was announced nearly 18 months ago, many Villanova fans were excited at the high-profile neutral-site tournament. The inclusion of Tennessee, Purdue, and North Carolina would give the Wildcats some high-level competition from the confines of Mohegan Sun Casino in Southeastern Connecticut. Last week CBS’s Jon Rothstein announced that ‘Nova would face Tennessee in the first round.

Today, the University announced that the games would be played on Saturday and Sunday November 20 & 21st at the home of 2020’s “Bubbleville”.

Villanova head coach Jay Wright shared, via a press release, “We are very excited about the prospect of returning there this November to participate in the Tip-Off Classic with three outstanding teams. This will be a great test early in the season for our team and we’re looking forward to our return visit.”

‘Nova is 3-1 in the historical meetings against Tennessee. Jay Wright is 1-1 all-time against the Volunteers, with the most recent victory at the Battle 4 Atlantis during the 2018 Championship Season.

The Wildcats are looking to be a Top 5 team in the nation to start the 2021-22 season. Purdue (#11), Tennessee (#16), and North Carolina (#18) are also in CBS’s Preseason Top 25.
