Confirmed: Villanova Basketball to play Baylor

June 2 Update: Villanova has confirmed the game and the December 12th date.

Villanova has added another high-profile game to their 2021-22 season.

‘Nova will replay their 2021 Sweet 16 game against National Champion Baylor Bears as a part of the Big 12 - Big East Battle according to Jon Rothstein.

The matchup, slated for Waco, would be the third consecutive year where the Wildcats and Bears have faced off. Scott Drew is 2-0 against Jay Wright in those games.

Villanova’s 2022 schedule already includes playing in the Jimmy V Classic against Syracuse and the Hall of Fame Classic where Tennessee, Purdue, and North Carolina will participate.

This matchup between 3 of the last 5 National Champions will be the marquee game of the inter-conference challenge. Other games include:

• UConn at West Virginia
• Kansas at St. John’s
• Texas at Seton Hall
• Iowa St at Creighton
• Texas Tech at Providence
• TCU at Georgetown
• Butler at Oklahoma
• Xavier at Oklahoma St
• Marquette at Kansas St
