Lucy Olsen: Stepping into the Spotlight as Villanova Women's Basketball's New Leading Star
For collegiate programs seeking national recognition, having a star player is often the key, and Villanova women's basketball had just that last season in Maddy Siegrist. As an All-American and the Big East Player of the Year, Siegrist led the nation in scoring, averaging an impressive 29.2 points per game, guiding the Wildcats to a remarkable 30-7 record and a memorable Sweet 16 run. Enter Lucy Olsen, a rising star in her own right. Before joining Villanova, this junior team captain made her mark in Montgomery County. She held the remarkable distinction of being the all-time leading scorer, for both boys and girls, at Spring-Ford High School with an astonishing 1,699 points. Olsen's impressive resume includes being a two-time first-team All-State player and a four-time first-team Pioneer Athletic Conference honoree. She was even honored as the 2021 Miss Pennsylvania Basketball. Las Vegas NFR
