Villanova graduate student Justin Moore has earned a spot on the preseason watch list for the NABC National Player of the Year award, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced on Thursday.
The fifth-year senior has averaged 13.2 points per game, alongside 4 boards. After recovering from an Achilles tear in the 2022 Elite 8, Moore returned for the final 13 games of 2023 where he averaged 13.5 points and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 34.1% from behind the arc.
Villanova opens their 2023-24 campaign on Monday, November 6th, when they host American at the Finneran Pavilion.
The National Association of Basketball Coaches on Thursday announced the preseason watch list for the 2024 NABC Division I Player of the Year award. The 2024 NABC Division I Player of the Year - selected by a nationwide vote of Division I head coaches - will be announced the week of the 2024 Men’s Final Four. Purdue’s Zach Edey won the award last season, and will seek to become the first repeat winner since Duke’s Jason Williams in 2001 and 2002.
