BIG EAST Basketball Preview: TV Schedule, What To Watch For

NCAA Basketball: Georgetown at Syracuse Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Another week, another list of ups and downs in the Big East.

Seton Hall gave South Carolina their first loss of the season last Monday at Madison Square Garden. Desi Rodriguez and Khadeen Carrington continue to put the team on their back (combined for 37 points) and the Pirates continue to struggle heavily from the free throw line (3-12).

Villanova won the Big 5. Water is wet.

DePaul lost a bad home game to UIC. Never heard of Illinois-Chicago? Good, because you shouldn’t have and that emphasizes how bad this was. They’re in the Horizon League and went 5-25 last season.

Georgetown went to the Carrier Dome and left upstate NY with a win over Syracuse, a win that is becoming less and less impressive by the week. Butler continues to show up against big teams, this time taking down Indiana.

Creighton took a break from scoring 100+ points against Oral Roberts, barely surviving the 2-9 cupcake at home.

Xavier once again struggled in a game they should have easily won. They overcome a one-point halftime deficit against Wake Forest to win 69-65.

Providence had no issues against Wagner, putting the Seahawks away 76-54. The Friars went on a 31-0 run during the first half.
