A few more twists and turns at the end, but what a regular season it was.

With the way the season was going, we definitely needed a few more twists and turns at the end, and that’s exactly what we got.

According to the pick’em contest selections, no one saw both the Villanova Wildcats and Marquette Golden Eagles losing their final game of the regular season. ‘Nova has reclaimed the Big East regular season title and the No. 1-seed for the Big East Tournament.

Here is a look at the final standings, the tournament bracket, as well as the conclusion of our pick’em contest.

It was fun for us, as basketball fans, to take in Saturday knowing how wide open seeding was and how all of results mattered until the final buzzer, but wouldn’t have wanted to be the one going through the tiebreakers and the rules to sort out the tournament picture. Fortunately, the Big East has you covered and here is the official Big East Tournament bracket:

As for the Pick’Em Contest, thank you to everyone for playing. Last year, Ryan Bowman won. This year, the title stays among the VU Hoops’ staff, but this time I’ll be sharing it with Bobbio. Congrats! (Bobbio, please send me an e-mail.)

Here is a complete scoreboard with everyone’s picks. (Shoutout to Cisplat75 for correctly guessing the most winners in back-to-back weeks.)
