Big East recruiting update (Oct. 24): A few final decisions

With the regular season drawing closer, things on the recruiting trail are slowing down.

As the regular season draws closer, things on the recruiting trail are quieting down, but there were some final decisions made.

Here’s the rest of the action from across the Big East for this past week:

Non-Big East commitments:

  • Three-star 2023 guard Carl Cherenfant (Pompano Beach, Fla./Calvary Christian) committed to Memphis over St. John’s and other schools in his final seven list.
  • Three-star 2023 guard Alex Cotton (Carrollton, Texas/Hebron) committed to North Texas, also had an offer from Xavier.
  • Four-star 2024 guard Darren Harris (Herndon, Va./Paul VI Catholic) committed to Duke, also had an offer from Georgetown.
  • Three-star 2023 forward Jayden Hastings (Orlando, Fla./IMG Academy) committed to Boston College, also had an offer from St. John’s.
  • 2023 guard Spencer Joyner (Hackensack, N.J./Newark Arts) committed to Boston University, also had an offer from Seton Hall.
  • Four-star 2023 forward Papa Kante (Senegal/South Kent) committed to Michigan, also had offers from DePaul, Georgetown, Providence and Seton Hall.

New offers:

  • Three-star 2023 forward Ladji Dembele (Mali/St. Benedict’s Prep) received an offer from Seton Hall.

Other notes:
