Instant Analysis: Villanova plans to play four conference games at the Wells Fargo Center, against Creighton, St. John's, Georgetown and Marquette. Both Georgetown and Marquette have been hosted at the WFC before to good success, but whether the Nebraska-based Creighton proves a draw in Philadelphia remains to be discovered. They are a good team that can compete at the top of the league, however, so Villanova will hope the hype there sells tickets.

We can assume that Nova will also play Syracuse in the city, since the Orange have always helped to pack the arena when they play at Nova.

Almost all of Villanova's games are being picked up on Fox Sports 1, with Seton Hall getting shipped off to CBS Sports Network and Marquette getting sold to the over-the-air CBS mothership. The latter will be a great chance at national exposure whether or not the TV dials ever switch over to Fox Sports 1 this season. One game will also appear on FSN National.

Scheduling two of the Wells Fargo games during Spring Break may prove to be a mistake for Nova. That's two of the biggest draws at the biggest arena on the schedule that will be minimized in their impact by having a diminished student presence. Why Villanova ever moved away from scheduling Spring Break to coincide with the Big East tournament is a mystery. Under that arrangement, students were generally on campus for the bulk of the conference schedule and had the freedom to travel to New York City for a week to attend the tournament (without missing classes) if they could obtain tickets.
