Hunter took an unofficial visit to Arkansas over the weekend, and will trip to Virginia tomorrow as well.

Local class of 2016 wing Lamar Stevens from Roman Catholic (Pa.) is starting to hit the home stretch in his recruitment.
The 6'6" small forward is ranked #77 by 24/7, #70 by ESPN, and #90 by Scout.

It would appear so, as Jay Wright is watching Payton Pritchard play in Las Vegas. Pritchard decommitted from Oklahoma in July, about 8 months after his original commitment to the Sooners over 'Nova, Wisconsin, Oregon and Gonzaga.

Wilbraham & Monson Academy's (MA)Wenyen Gabriel, a 6'9" 195 pound 4-star forward, is currently ranked #77 in the 247 Composite and holds offers from UConn, Maryland, Virginia and Notre Dame amongs others.

Jay Wright & Co. were one of the first high-majors to recruit and follow 6'4" guard Rawle Alkins, but have ended their persuit.
Alkins, a 2016 recruit, has continued his upward trajectory recently getting offers from Kentucky, Kansas, and North Carolina.
Jay Wright has also added transfer Eric Paschall from Fordham.

The Indiana Scout.com site is reporting that Class of 2016 forward, Lamar Stevens (Haverford School) has Villanova along with Indiana, Marquette, Pitt, and Temple in his Top 5.
Stevens has since corrected this report, saying this is not his final five, just the five schools talking to him the most.

6'8" big man Omari Spellman, Villanova's lone commit for the Class of 2016, will be heading to Connecticut to play his senior season at St. Thomas More. Spellman put in a very impressive performance last month at the NBAPA Top 100 Camp, but tweaked his ankle recently at the Peach Jam.

Per multiple reports, Omari Spellman picked up an ankle injury prior to the event and will not play at all this weekend.
