Rumor: Mount St. Mary's will face Villanova this season.

Kudos to Fact on Villanova SportsTheatre, who was the first to notice this scheduling news. According to the Twitter account of a basketball signee at Mount St. Mary's, Villanova will be one of a few high major programs that the NEC school will face this coming season.

"The Mount," located in Emmitsburg, Maryland, has one NCAA Tournament Championship at the Division II level in 1962. Two Mountaineer alums have played in the NBA, Fred Carter and Bob Riley, while John F. Sullivan played in the ABA. They have appeared in the NCAA tournament three-times since moving to Division I, with the most recent coming in 2008.

Last season, they finished with an 18-14 record and made it to the NEC final, where they lost to LIU-Brooklyn.

If the tweet is accurate, 'Nova adds The Mount to a non-conference scheduled that includes three games in the Bahamas at the Battle 4 Atlantis, at Temple, at St. Joseph's, at Syracuse and hosting La Salle, Towson, Penn, and Delaware.

Add in the 18 conference games in the Big East, and only one of Villanova's 2013-14 opponents would remain unaccounted for.
