Nearly a year and a half ago, the Nyack Men's Basketball official twitter account announced that the Division II Warriors would "play at Villanova in 2014." Since then, not a peep had been heard about the match up.
The possibility of this exhibition decreased even more when Villanova announced playing Rollie Massimino's Northwood Seahawks this season as well.
On Monday, an official release from Nyack announced their exhibition with Villanova is set for Sunday, November 9th. And like other recent pre-season games, it will be played at the Wells Fargo Center- the Wildcats' South Philly Lair.
Nyack's head coach is Jason Crafton, who served as the Wildcats' Administrative Assistant / Video Coordinator until 2005, when he followed Billy Lange to Navy. After four years as Lange's assistant, he was promoted to Associate Head Coach at Navy -- being named one of the Top 50 Mid-Major Assistant Coaches in a 2011 edition of Basketball Times/Hoop Scoop.
