NIT Season Tip-off, Akron vs. Villanova: Game Time, TV Schedule, Live Stream, Radio & Odds

A Sunday afternoon contest presents a quick turnaround for Villanova off Friday night's hammering of East Tennessee State, but that's the hand they've been dealt. Akron comes to town for the second preliminary game of the NIT Season Tip-off, and the Zips have looked very good so far this year and should challenge for the MAC title this season.

Akron's claim to fame thus far is going to Fayetteville and dispatching Arkansas on their home court. That alone shouldn't put Villanova on full upset alert but this is likely to be the stiffest challenge they've faced so far in the young season. The RPI killer portion of the schedule seems to officially be on hiatus.

Game Time, TV Schedule: 4:30pm ET. The game will be aired on Fox Sports 1.

Odds: Per OddsShark, the line opened at Villanova -14.5 and has moved as high as 16 by midday Sunday.
