USA Basketball U19: Jalen Brunson named a finalist, Eric Paschall cut

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Villanova Basketball is well represented at USA Basketball's U19 camp. Incoming freshman Jalen Brunson has survived the first round of the workouts and has been named one of the squad's 16 finalists.

However, for 'Nova fans, the number of Wildcats was cut in half as the newest Wildcat, Eric Paschall, was cut.

U19 head coach Sean Miller from Arizona, "The guys who get cut will have a pretty good chance to make an NBA team someday."

The team will be finalized on June 21st when the roster is cut down to 12. They will make the trip to Crete, Greece to participate in the FIBA U19 World Championships from June 27-July 5.

Miller took over the U19 head coaching duties after former Florida Gators head coach Billy Donovan went to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The assistant coaches are Archie Miller of the Dayton Flyers and Ed Cooley of the Providence Friars.
