Jalen Brunson makes USA Basketball U-19 squad

Incoming Villanova freshman Jalen Brunson has been named one of the twelve players to USA Basketball's U19 squad.

The USA qualified for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championship by compiling a 5-0 record and winning gold at the 2014 FIBA Americas U18 Championship. The squad of twelve will make the trip to Crete, Greece to participate in the World Championships from June 27-July 5.

The squad is led by Sean Miller from Arizona, who took over the U19 head coaching duties after former Florida Gators head coach Billy Donovan went to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The assistant coaches are Archie Miller of the Dayton Flyers and Ed Cooley of the Providence Friars.

Jim Boeheim from Syracuse leads the Junior National Team Committee that includes Bob McKillop (Davidson), Matt Painter (Purdue), and Lorenzo Romar (Washington). Former Villanovan Curtis Sumpter is the "athlete representative".
