Villanova SF Mikal Bridges a projected 1st round pick in 2018 NBA Draft

DraftExpress likes the ‘Nova sophomore.

DraftExpress has released their 2018 mock NBA Draft and you better enjoy Mikal Bridges while he’s still on the Main Line. He’s projected as the #16 pick in their updated 2018 mock draft.

Now obviously, this is just one mock and it’s two drafts away. Plenty can change, and Bridges doesn’t even appear in the DraftExpress 2017 mock draft (Josh Hart is #45 in case you were wondering).

But what we do know is that Bridges has the physical gifts NBA scouts crave and he’s young for his grade. The final piece is likely showing that he can get it done consistently on the offensive end. I’m guessing the assumption is that he does that once Hart and Kris Jenkins graduate and plays himself into a first round pick.

Also of note, DraftExpress has Lonnie Walker going in the lottery at #12 in their 2018 mock. A strong showing at USA Basketball’s mini-camp last month seems to have really raised his profile, and might mean that he’s a one-and-done prospect no matter where he ends up.
