Reports: Villanova assistant Baker Dunleavy involved with Stony Brook, Delaware openings

It's only a matter of time, but maybe not just quite yet.

It won't be long until Villanova Wildcats associate head coach Baker Dunleavy gets a head coaching job of his own, and that time could be sooner than we think. Dunleavy's name has been mentioned with both the Stony Brook and Delaware head coaching jobs today, though apparently Dunleavy has already taken his name out of the running for the former.

That seems to have put Ohio State's Jeff Boals in the driver's seat for Stony Brook, per Scout's Brian Snow.

The Delaware report is coming from Park Bench Hoops on Twitter, which you should probably take with a grain of salt. There's also the fact that Delaware has been very public about it's desire to hire a full-time AD before a basketball coach. And even further, the situation at UD is a mess with multiple players transferring out of the program next year.

But, Delaware and Villanova have plenty of familiarity with each other, Delaware's interim AD was at the Final Four networking, and it's not far-fetched at all to see Dunleavy leaving for a CAA-level job in the future. So there might be some teeth to this, at least on the Delaware side.
