Villanova will make the short trip up I-476 to Allentown on Friday to take on Lafayette in a quasi-home game at the PPL Center. With the Pavilion undergoing renovations the ‘Cats opted to go on the road and give the Lehigh Valley fanbase a game against Fran O’Hanlon’s squad.
The two teams will have some familiarity with each other. They met in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament in 2015 (a 93-52 ‘Nova win) and again last season (an 88-48 ‘Nova win).
Villanova put it into top gear on Tuesday night against Nicholls State and will feel good about putting on a show at the PPL Center with the Leopards entering the contest at 0-2.

Drink That Guarantees The W: Redbreast 12-year
The weather has turned and Dad needs a strong drink after a week on the road. We’re going to put ourself to bed early with several glasses of the good stuff because the ‘Cats will have this one out of reach by halftime. And then I’ll pour one out for fellow Irishman Fran O’Hanlon who deserves better than the results he’s been getting lately in Easton.
