Another accolade has Jalen Brunson’s name on it. Villanova’s junior point guard has been named to the Associated Press’ 2017-18 preseason All-America team.
The Lincolnshire, IL native received 33 votes by the AP Voters was previously named BIG EAST Preseason Player of the Year and to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List.
Michigan State’s Miles Bridges was the top vote-getter tallying 61 votes from the panel of 65. Notre Dame’s Bonzie Colson received 47. Arizona’s Allonzo Trier and Missouri’s Michael Porter Jr. round out the first team.
Brunson averaged 14.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists last season shooting 54.1% from the floor and connecting on 87.6% of his free-throw attempts.
Villanova’s 2017-18 season tips off on Friday night when the Wildcats host Columbia.
