How to watch Villanova vs. Hofstra

At long last, a Homecoming for Jay Wright.

NCAA Basketball: Villanova at Temple Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

After a painfully long week-plus layoff - the longest of the season - Villanova will head to Long Island to play a ‘home’ game against Hofstra. The game will be the final tune-up for the Wildcats before Big East play begins.

Jay Wright’s former stomping grounds should take him on a nice trip down memory lane as it will be the first time he’s faced his former school since taking the job at Villanova in 2001.

Hofstra shouldn’t provide too much of a challenge for the ‘Cats, but some rust wouldn’t be totally unexpected after the long layoff and with Christmas break looming on the other side.

Matchup: #1 Villanova Wildcats vs. Hofstra Pride

Venue: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum (Uniondale, N.Y.)

Game Time: 8:30pm ET

TV: FS1

Drink That Guarantees The W: Long Island Iced Tea

No, not the recently rebranded Long Blockchain Co. - almost kudos to the management staff there for milking that for all it’s worth - but rather the DIY cocktail that gets out of hand almost immediately.

Just as I’m expecting the score of this game to.
