In the top half of the East region, chalk prevailed on Thursday in the NCAA Tournament. The #1 Villanova Wildcats will face the #8 Wisconsin Badgers after they held off the #9 Virginia Tech Hokies late on Thursday night. The #4 Florida Gators will take on the #5 Virginia Cavaliers for a trip to the Sweet 16 as well.
Villanova and Wisconsin are set to tip at approximately 2:40pm ET, and the game will be broadcast on CBS after the conclusion of the Notre Dame-West Virginia game.
After Villanova’s first half slog, expect a media blitz of Badgers picks. Star Bronson Koenig set a school-record with 8 three-pointers in the win and Nigel Hayes looked strong in the win as well.
Villanova will need to come out with much more energy if they’re going to continue to advance past a very difficult opponent on Saturday.
