Both of the Villanova Wildcats vaunted seniors will be getting a shot at the NBA. After Josh Hart went to the Los Angeles Lakers (via a trade with the Jazz) with the last pick of the first round, Kris Jenkins has signed a deal with his hometown Washington Wizards.
Parade of Undrafteds begins: Villanova NCAA title hero Kris Jenkins going to Wizards’ camp, per source.

Jenkins had previously worked out for Washington in the weeks leading up to the draft, and he’ll join former teammate Daniel Ochefu as a hometown kid getting a shot at the NBA. Having Ochefu around is a great bonus for Jenkins as he knows exactly what it takes to achieve what Jenkins is setting out to do.
A camp deal means Jenkins will have to play his way onto the roster spot, or might eventually end up in the D-League. Or Europe. We just don’t know yet, but this is great news for Jenkins. Hard work gets rewarded.
Go get ‘em, Kris!
